Message from HFH

Dear Clients

I hope you had a pleasant bank holiday weekend and that you and your families are keeping safe and well.

We are continuing to ensure we keep up to date on government guidance on COVID-19 and that we have the right support in place for you and your care team.

The only significant change in guidance we have received this week is for those of you who have regular Live-In Carers whose home is outside the UK and who have not been able to return to the UK in recent weeks:

The 14 day self-isolation guidance for returning workers has now been superseded by the government guidance for homecare and Stay at Home guidance. This means that providing the carer

  • has not been in contact with any individual showing symptoms of or diagnosed with COVID-19 during the 14 days before returning to the UK
  • is able to obtain the relevant travel permissions and make travel arrangements from their home country
  • does not show any symptoms on returning to the UK

Then they may be able to return to work with you.

For those of you affected by this, a member of your Regional team will be in contact with you and the Carer concerned next week to discuss the situation.

Thank you all for your help and support in keeping your households safe through good hygiene and hand washing and the appropriate use of PPE (personal protective equipment), we very much appreciate it.

Whilst it is often hard to find the positives at a time like this, we are very pleased that the skills, commitment and values of our HFH team and our colleagues across the social care sector are being recognised by government and the wider community. We are proud to be members of

Keep well & keep safe
